About The Position

Wyzant is the web’s largest tutor marketplace, serving K-12 students, college students, and adults through a community of more than 65,000 tutors. The Product Manager will help evolve the product, improve the user experience, and support new services for a wider variety of learners. This is a full-time position requiring work in Wyzant’s Raleigh, North Carolina, area office.

The role involves understanding Wyzant’s platform and users, defining product requirements, collaborating across teams to develop and test solutions, and using post-launch data to guide further product decisions. The Product Manager will also provide updates and recommendations to product leadership and work with internal stakeholders to deliver positive outcomes for users.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree in STEM or a related field.
• At least 5 years of product management experience.
• Proven success leading product teams to build the right thing and build it right.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to provide high-quality, efficient, creative solutions to complex problems.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, especially engineering.
• Strong communication skills.
• Highly motivated, resourceful, and able to figure things out.
• Creativity, open-mindedness, and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist in overseeing the product’s evolution, identifying high-impact developments and seeing them through to completion.
• Develop a deep technical understanding of the Wyzant platform and become an expert on its user base to define product requirements and written specifications.
• Work cross-functionally with engineering, customer success, sales, marketing, and other organizational teams to develop and test solutions.
• Manage the gathering and analysis of user data after features launch to inform further product decisions.
• Provide ongoing status reports and recommendations to product team leadership.
• Collaborate with and manage internal stakeholders as a problem solver and point of contact to achieve positive impact for users.
