About The Position

We are seeking a Product Manager to own the revenue cycle and personal care capabilities for our home care agency software. This role involves shaping how agencies handle billing, claims, payer requirements, denials, and collections across various payor types. Additionally, you will focus on the operational core, including caregiver scheduling, visit verification, authorizations, and governing state and payer program rules. You will manage the entire product lifecycle from problem statement to launch and iteration, collaborating with Engineering, Clinical, Analytics, User Experience, and business leaders. A key aspect of this role involves leveraging automation and AI in areas like claims scrubbing, eligibility, coding support, denial prediction, and document handling. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented and enjoys understanding the intricacies of healthcare revenue cycles and operations.

Requirements

  • 4+ years in product management, ideally in healthcare revenue cycle, post-acute care software, payer/claims systems, or other complex technical products.
  • Working knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle - billing, claims submission, eligibility and authorization, denials and appeals, collections, and AR management.
  • Familiarity with post-acute care, home health, hospice, or personal care operations and their reimbursement models.
  • Experience carrying product capabilities through the full lifecycle, from discovery and requirements to delivery, launch, and iteration.
  • Command of the fundamentals: customer discovery, user research, requirements and functional specifications, and roadmap management.
  • Ability to work independently while staying tightly connected to cross-functional partners.
  • A track record on complex product initiatives.
  • Strong communication skills, especially explaining technical and reimbursement concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • A habit of grounding decisions in data, user insight, operational feedback, and stakeholder input.
  • Comfort in agile product development, and in navigating complex technical, regulatory, and organizational systems.

Nice To Haves

  • 7+ years of related product management experience.
  • Direct experience with home health, hospice, or personal care revenue cycle - including Medicare PDGM, Medicaid and waiver programs, managed care, and multi-payer billing.
  • Familiarity with claims and remittance transaction standards (837 /835), clearinghouse integration, eligibility verification, and payer connectivity.
  • Experience with personal care operations: caregiver scheduling and matching, Electronic Visit Verification, authorization tracking, and state program compliance.
  • Experience with AI-enabled or automated capabilities such as claims scrubbing, coding support, denial prediction, or document extraction.
  • Experience leading cross-functional product work on complex technical or business initiatives.
  • Direct partnership with clients, billers, agency operators, or other operational stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a relevant field.

Responsibilities

  • Carry revenue cycle and personal care capabilities through the full lifecycle - discovery, definition, delivery, launch, measurement, and what comes next.
  • Get close to the problem by studying workflows of billers, collectors, schedulers, and agency operators to identify areas where money and time are lost.
  • Translate learnings into clear product concepts, requirements, specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, and success metrics.
  • Shape the roadmap for product areas in partnership with product leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Translate strategy into delivery plans that balance user value, technical feasibility, payer and regulatory reality, and business impact.
  • Prioritize based on evidence such as clean claim rates, days in AR, denial and rejection trends, schedule fill rates, user research, and stakeholder feedback.
  • Stay hands-on through analysis, design, testing, integration, launch readiness, and post-launch measurement.
  • Partner closely with Engineering, Architecture, Security, DevOps, Analytics, and User Experience to define, build, and improve capabilities.
  • Work directly with Revenue Cycle Operations and Client Success to understand agency struggles and identify solutions that improve their numbers.
  • Run cross-functional conversations to frame problems, align on requirements, set priorities, make tradeoff decisions, and confirm readiness for shipping.
  • Clearly explain technical and reimbursement concepts to non-technical audiences without jargon.
  • Surface dependencies, risks, and open decisions early, and involve the right people for larger decisions.
  • Maintain product documentation, decision records, and reliable delivery expectations.
  • Apply knowledge of post-acute reimbursement, payer requirements, claims workflows, and personal care operations to decision-making.
  • Stay updated with changes in CMS rules, rate updates, state Medicaid program requirements, EW mandates, managed care contract behavior, and payer policy shifts, and incorporate them into the roadmap.
  • Weigh complex technical and business tradeoffs with technical partners, including the value and risks of automation and AI-enabled capabilities.
  • Build capabilities that meet healthcare regulatory, compliance, privacy, billing integrity, and data security expectations by design.
  • Monitor performance, adoption, quality, and usability post-launch and drive improvements based on data.
