About The Position

Duolingo is hiring an MBA intern to lead a specific app feature through the full product development cycle, from ideation and specification through development, release, analysis, and iteration. The intern will research market trends and data, develop a product roadmap for a key business component, collaborate with UI/UX designers and engineers, and analyze feature performance to identify optimization opportunities. The internship offers mentorship and coaching from experienced product managers, ownership of a project that can affect millions of learners, intern-specific programming and opportunities to connect with senior leaders, and exposure to the product lifecycle from idea to launch. Candidates must be pursuing an MBA or related master's degree and be available for 12 consecutive weeks.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing an MBA or related master’s degree, with graduation in December 2027 or Spring 2028.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Psychology, Design, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3+ years of professional experience as a product manager or in a highly related area, such as software engineering, design, data analysis, language learning, or brand management.
• Ability to use user insights, data, and statistical analyses to inform decisions.
• Instinct for creating simple and intuitive user experiences.
• Ability to learn quickly.
• Demonstrated resourcefulness and innovation.
• Experience leading projects and teams.
• Desire to make the world a better place through technology and education.
• Availability for 12 consecutive weeks.

Responsibilities

• Lead an app feature through ideation, specification, development, release, analysis, and iteration.
• Conduct research and analyze market trends and data to develop a product roadmap for a key component of Duolingo’s business.
• Work with UI/UX designers to support an excellent user experience.
• Work with engineers to guide feature development.
• Analyze feature performance quantitatively and identify opportunities for optimization.
