Product Manager

ToyotaPlano, TX

About The Position

Toyota Financial Services (TFS) is seeking a Product Manager who is customer-obsessed, data-driven, and possesses the urgency of a startup within a trusted global brand. This role is not about project management; instead, it focuses on owning new car shopping experiences from conception to completion. The Product Manager will engage directly with shoppers, analyze data to identify experience breakdowns, and make critical trade-off decisions with incomplete information. A key aspect of this role is a holistic view of the customer journey, identifying inconsistencies and dependencies across different experience lines and developing solutions for the overall journey, not just isolated parts. This position is ideal for individuals who have excelled in startup or early-stage product environments and can effectively navigate and address the needs of a large enterprise.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product management experience on consumer-facing digital products.
  • A proven track record of shipping products that customers actively use.
  • Experience owning multiple connected experiences or a customer journey end-to-end, including making trade-off decisions across them.
  • Hands-on experience with data analysis, including digging into datasets, writing queries, and measuring quality and behavior independently.
  • Experience working directly with engineering teams in an agile environment.
  • Strong written communication skills, capable of writing clear product briefs for diverse stakeholders.
  • Startup mindset with enterprise polish: comfortable with ambiguity, moves fast, and can lead and influence critical stakeholders.
  • Passion for modern product management practices and AI-powered tooling.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in automotive, fintech, lending, or marketplace products.
  • Experience with commerce, checkout, or financing experiences.
  • Experience building products involving regulatory or compliance considerations.
  • Experience writing PR/FAQs or similar 'working backwards' product documents.

Responsibilities

  • Own the vision and implementation of new car-shopping experiences end-to-end.
  • Act as a thought leader on the shopping journey, staying ahead of emerging technology, market shifts, and customer trends to create differentiating experiences.
  • Engage directly with customers through usability tests and discovery interviews to inform product development.
  • Define product strategy using PR/FAQs and PRDs that clearly articulate the customer problem, proposed solution, and success metrics.
  • Make prioritization decisions based on data, customer feedback, and business impact.
  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams, providing the 'what' and 'why' while they determine the 'how'.
  • Ship incrementally by defining releases, setting acceptance criteria, and rapidly delivering working software to users.
  • Instrument all aspects of the product to define success metrics for engagement and conversion, build dashboards, and use data to guide future development.

Benefits

  • Industry-leading benefits and career development opportunities.
  • A work environment built on teamwork, flexibility, and respect.
  • Professional growth and development programs.
  • Tuition reimbursement.
  • Team Member Vehicle Purchase Discount.
  • Toyota Team Member Lease Vehicle Program (if applicable).
  • Comprehensive health care and wellness plans for your entire family.
  • Toyota 401(k) Savings Plan with company match and annual retirement contribution.
  • Paid holidays and paid time off.
  • Referral services for prenatal services, adoption, childcare, schools, and more.
  • Tax Advantaged Accounts (Health Savings Account, Health Care FSA, Dependent Care FSA).
  • Relocation assistance (if applicable).
