Product Manager

LatchBio•San Francisco, CA

About The Position

Latch is seeking a Product Manager to make its platform effective for a growing science team of more than 100 people, who are the platform’s primary users. The role translates scientists’ and operations specialists’ needs into clear priorities and ensures the product improves their work. The Product Manager reports to Chief Product Officer Hannah Le and works closely with science, operations, and engineering. The role involves regularly speaking with scientists and understanding their workflows, identifying operational challenges such as tracking progress and staffing projects, and prioritizing improvements. The Product Manager owns outcomes by defining meaningful metrics and partnering with engineering to focus work on the greatest impact. Strong user-experience judgment, design taste, and hands-on prototyping in Figma and AI tools such as Claude are expected. The role calls for both detailed investigation of users’ work and strategic prioritization. A science background is not required; an undergraduate biology background is considered sufficient. This is an on-site role in San Francisco. The team meets on Mondays and Fridays, with additional meetings as needed, and does not track arrival or departure times. The company emphasizes project quality and timely delivery, radical transparency, respectful collaboration, minimal meetings, and judging people by innovation and output rather than hours.
