Product Manager

OttimateKansas City, MO
$100,000 - $130,000Hybrid

About The Position

Ottimate is an AI-native accounts payable (AP) automation and payments platform serving mid-market, multi-location operators across hospitality, healthcare, grocery and retail, and client accounting services (CAS). We help finance teams capture, code, approve, and pay invoices with AI handling the repetitive work — across AP automation, Vendor Pay payments, and spend management. We're PE-backed (FTV Partners) and moving fast toward a more autonomous, agentic future for B2B finance. It's a great time to join and own real surface area early. You'll own a defined product area within the Ottimate platform end to end — from discovery through launch and iteration. You'll talk to customers, find the problems worth solving, work with engineering and design to ship, and measure whether what you shipped actually moved the needle. This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to grow quickly and have visible impact on a product real finance teams use every day.

Requirements

  • 2+ years in product management, ideally on B2B SaaS or workflow-heavy products.
  • A bias toward talking to users and a habit of grounding decisions in evidence rather than opinion.
  • Solid analytical skills — comfortable digging into data to understand behavior and measure impact.
  • Strong written and verbal communication; you can align engineers, designers, and stakeholders around a clear plan.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a drive to own outcomes, not just outputs.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to fintech, AP/AR, ERP, accounting, or other finance-adjacent products.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML-powered features and how to reason about them as a PM.
  • Experience working with operationally complex or multi-location customers.

Responsibilities

  • Own the roadmap, backlog, and outcomes for your product area, in partnership with engineering and design.
  • Run discovery — talk to customers and internal teams, dig into product data, and turn what you learn into well-scoped problems and clear requirements.
  • Write crisp specs and user stories, and make day-to-day prioritization and trade-off calls.
  • Partner with engineering through the full delivery cycle, keeping work unblocked and focused on outcomes.
  • Define success metrics for what you ship, instrument them, and report on results honestly.
  • Work with customer success, support, and sales to understand how your area performs in the real world and where it needs to improve.
  • Contribute to the broader product strategy with ideas grounded in customer reality.

Benefits

  • Salary Range: USD $100,000-130,000 per year.
  • Medical, Dental, Vision and other Company-Subsidized Benefits for you and your family.
  • Employer sponsored 401(k) with company match.
  • Paid Time Off (and the encouragement to use it).
  • Annual company retreats.
  • Promote from within philosophy.
