About The Position

Valmet is seeking a Product Manager, Wet End Products, to apply wet end and dewatering technology offerings to develop customer solutions in the performance parts and consumables business. The role involves creating customer-focused product presentations, supporting growth targets across the relevant business areas, and defining specifications and scopes in collaboration with internal teams. It combines substantial external customer interaction with internal coordination. The business area is North America, with the possibility of some international travel; travel is required. The position also involves project development, reviewing technical specifications and drawings, providing technical support, and assisting sales with troubleshooting wet end and dewatering solutions. The Product Manager develops and maintains technical expertise in these technologies and provides training to internal and external customers. Requirements

Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, five years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Technical understanding of wet end solutions and dewatering offerings within the performance parts group.
Travel is required.
A good understanding of paper machinery and knowledge of wet end-related products and technologies is helpful.
Ability to translate strategy into meaningful actions is helpful.

Responsibilities

Apply wet end and dewatering technology offerings to develop customer solutions in the performance parts and consumables business.
Develop growth targets and tailor product presentations to customer needs.
Interact with customers to generate solutions and work internally to define specifications and scopes.
Develop projects; review technical specifications and drawings; provide technical support; and assist sales with troubleshooting wet end and dewatering solutions.
Generate or assist with proposal drawings, graphs, simulations, and specifications, and assist with quotes.
Support Engineering and Inspectors/drafters in applying the latest Valmet technology.
Develop and maintain technical competence in wet end and dewatering technology, including providing training to internal and external customers.
Work with PEP PSMs in North America to develop and grow the wet end and dewatering business using the cadence and rigor of Compass and group continuity.
