About The Position

Essent Group Ltd. is seeking a strategic and results-oriented Product Manager for Title Integrations to own and drive the vision, roadmap, and execution of our partner integration strategy. This pivotal role will be responsible for establishing and managing connections with key Loan Origination Systems, banking partners, and third-party software providers. Under the guidance of Director, Program Management, you will transform our client-facing experience by seamlessly integrating these external services with our core next-generation platform. The ideal candidate is a product leader with deep title industry knowledge, a passion for process improvement, and a proven track record of managing complex partner ecosystems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Five plus (5+) years of experience in product management, with a demonstrated ability to manage a product roadmap, define requirements, and lead cross-functional teams from concept to launch
  • Proven experience in partnership management or business development, with a track record of successfully negotiating and managing integrations with third-party software providers
  • Three (3) or more years of experience in the mortgage banking industry required with specific Title industry desirable.
  • Three (3) years or more of hands-on experience with modern technology architecture and mortgage industry data standards (MISMO)
  • Practical experience in customer integrations, underwriting, operations, back-office systems, customer service, and IT a plus
  • Disciplined documentation, testing, and project execution skills
  • Familiarity and comfort with Agile/Scrum practices with experience using Azure Dev Ops tools as a plus
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret information
  • Excellent organizational skills and tenacious with task follow-up
  • Detail oriented, flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and environment, multi-tasking skills critical
  • Experience with modern technology architecture and principles (APIs, SOA, Cloud)
  • Experience with XML, EDI and MISMO
  • Must have sense of urgency and possess personal drive to achieve success. Results orientation is critical.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Capable of communicating to IT and business units

Nice To Haves

  • Direct experience with Loan Origination Systems (e.g., Encompass, Calyx Point), title production software (e.g., Qualia, SoftPro), or other real estate finance technology is strongly preferred
  • Underwriting experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Serves as business liaison with clients, vendors, business units, and IT for implementation and enhancement of Title Insurance and Settlement Services B2B interfaces.
  • Initiate, develop and promote business relationships in conjunction with Business Development resulting in strong partnerships with clients and vendors focusing on superior customer service and ensuring smooth transitions to electronic, automated delivery interfaces.
  • Supports the identification and management of the improvement of Essent’s technologies and processes to improve our customers’ interactions with Essent and the Operational Efficiencies for the organization.
  • Utilize research, data analytics, and direct feedback to define and evangelize the vision and strategic roadmap for all title client-facing integrations.
  • Shepherd new integration opportunities from conception and business case development through to launch, adoption, and iteration.
  • Creates data definition and mapping documentation including review of lender approved programs, exceptions, new guidelines, new products and changes to existing products or underwriting guidelines.
  • Represents Essent’s needs to the Title industry, including working with MISMO, LOS Partners and our customers.
  • Establish, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to integration adoption, client satisfaction (NPS/CSAT), and business outcomes.
  • Supports the Director Program Management in defining the scope of complex integration projects, research, organizes and manages defined project deliverables.
  • Works directly with business and IT resources on planning and execution.
  • Manages stakeholder expectations and maintains on-going communication with integration project sponsors, key stakeholders and project teams throughout the project re: scope, functionality, budget, schedules and timeframes.
  • Proactively manages identification, communication, and resolution of project issues and risks and prepares status reports for management review.
  • Employ business knowledge in evaluation of data elements, data mapping and underwriting requirements.
  • Coordinates and/or executes testing for new integrations, new functionality, new data mapping and/or new technology as needed for project approval and production release.
  • Coordinates and performs user acceptance testing as required.
  • Stays current with industry trends and changes identifying and communicating impacts to business flow, including participation as necessary in industry workgroups.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.
