As a Product Manager on our Wealth Products Solutions team, you will create a customer experience that redefines what customers expect in financial services and give customers the confidence and trust to create customers for life. The right individual will bring a strong track record in product management and bring creativity and humility, product sense and analytical skills, leadership, and the ability to collaborate. You will join an ambitious product team that comprises experience with industry leaders, early-stage startups, tech leaders, and is tasked with the unique opportunity of defining and delivering the customer experience across our retirement and personal wealth businesses.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of experience leading major digital direct-to-consumer products and working collaboratively with engineering, design, and research teams
• Exceptional prioritization and stakeholder management skills, particularly working with compliance/legal partners in a highly regulated industry
• Excellent communication skills, storytelling, and organizational skills that instill confidence in senior leaders, cross-functional partners, and peers
• Relentless follow through and commitment to do the right thing
• Detail and design oriented; the details really matter to you
• Passionate about tackling complicated and impactful customer and business problems
• Critical, analytical thinker and comfortable analyzing data and pulling out key insights

• Proven track record of navigating through the full product life cycle, integrating customer feedback in requirements, driving prioritization, and pre/post-launch execute
• Experience in the fintech industry with demonstratable knowledge of industry best practices

Responsibilities

• Influence a product strategy that identifies opportunities to have the biggest customer impact; helping our customers achieve their financial goals
• Own the product roadmap, including both significant short and long-term opportunities for the product within the context of the broader organizational strategy and goals
• Bring clarity and structure to ambiguous opportunities
• Obsess about the product design, partnering closely with designers to constantly look for opportunities to simplify experience and deliver a better experience
• Leverage customer research, usability testing, and market research in the strategy to improve success and user satisfaction
• Partner closely with engineering and design teams to increase team velocity, cohesiveness, and productivity
• Inspire and influence leadership, peers, and cross-functional partners to drive buy-in and consensus
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive product requirements, manage resources and dependencies, gain approvals (compliance, legal, etc.), and lead the team through key milestones
• Understand Empower’s business goals, the competitive landscape, and design products that align with our mission and vision
• Define, analyze, and track key performance metrics
• Drive decision making through customer insights, agile methods to validate hypothesis, quantitative analysis, and A/B testing
• Execute at a fast pace with a focus on customer outcomes, the user experience, and learning with limited oversight
• Constantly challenge the status quo and identify opportunities to move faster and more efficiently
