About The Position

The Product Manager, New Product Development (NPD) & Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Programs is responsible for leading strategic OEM projects and driving new product development initiatives across CIVCO’s ultrasound-guided procedure portfolio. This role serves as the primary commercial and cross-functional leader for OEM development programs while also supporting upstream product strategy activities including market assessment, voice-of-customer engagement, business case development, and opportunity validation. This position combines strategic product leadership with tactical execution responsibilities to ensure successful development and launch of products that align with customer needs, market opportunities, and organizational growth objectives. The Product Manager will collaborate closely with OEM partners and internal stakeholders across Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Regulatory, Quality, Manufacturing, and Business Development to deliver commercially successful solutions that strengthen CIVCO’s market position and partner relationships. The ideal candidate brings strong product management capabilities, customer and market insight, and the ability to translate clinical and business needs into actionable development programs that deliver on new product vitality goals.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated success developing business cases, evaluating market opportunities, and supporting commercialization of new products.
  • Experience working with cross-functional product development teams and structured product development processes.
  • Strong understanding of customer needs assessment, market research, competitive analysis, and product strategy.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with tactical execution in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication, organizational, collaboration, and project leadership skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in product management, OEM program management, upstream product marketing, or new product development.
  • Willing, able, and committed to travel up to 30%. Consistent time spent with customers is essential.
  • Ability to meet vendor credentialing requirements for all healthcare systems (including COVID-19 vaccine, where required).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing external strategic partnerships or OEM relationships preferred.
  • Experience within ultrasound-guided procedures, imaging, or medical consumable products preferred.
  • Prior clinical or industry-based ultrasound experience.
  • Prior experience with single-use procedural medical devices and consumable products.
  • Working knowledge of hospital environments including organizational structures and administration.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex market and technical information into clear strategic recommendations.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office with demonstrated willingness to learn and incorporate AI-tools into daily work.
  • Medical device industry experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary business lead and point of contact for OEM development programs and strategic partner initiatives, from opportunity identification through commercialization and launch.
  • Collaborate with external strategic partners to ensure alignment on project scope, timelines, deliverables, and commercial requirements.
  • Develop and manage Product Development Agreements (PDAs), business cases, commercial terms, and minimum volume commitments.
  • Monitor project progress and communicate milestones, risks, and deliverables to internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Support compatibility expansion activities as OEM partners release new ultrasound system and transducer platforms.
  • Partner with Sales and Channel Management teams to support OEM growth initiatives, pricing alignment, and market expansion opportunities.
  • Drive effective prioritization and resource alignment across OEM and NPD initiatives.
  • Conduct ongoing market, technology, and competitive landscape analyses within ultrasound-guided procedure markets, including urology, women’s health, radiology, POCUS, and probe disinfection.
  • Identify emerging trends in ultrasound systems, probe technologies, and procedural workflows that impact CIVCO’s strategic direction.
  • Support CIVCO’s product growth strategy through market assessment, voice-of-customer engagement, and opportunity validation activities.
  • Participate in advisory meetings, trade shows, and industry events to maintain awareness of emerging technologies and procedural trends.
  • Conduct market, customer, and competitive analyses to identify unmet clinical needs and emerging product opportunities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), strategic customers, and industry partners to support opportunity validation and market insight generation.
  • Partner with Product Strategy, Business Development, and R&D teams to evaluate, prioritize, and validate new product opportunities aligned with organizational growth objectives.
  • Develop evidence-based business cases and opportunity assessments using customer insights, market trends, financial analysis, and competitive intelligence to support portfolio prioritization decisions.
  • Serve as the internal voice-of-customer to guide product definition, development priorities, and strategic recommendations and support project verification and validation activities.
