Check us out on LinkedIn: Medtronic CST The Product Manager - Navigation & Robotics is an essential member of the Medtronic Enabling Technology Marketing team, reporting to the Director of Marketing. The Product Manager will play a key role in scoping and executing upon the strategy, definition and execution of our Spine Navigation and Robotics solutions which include software and hardware responsibilities. Additionally, the Product Manager will work closely with the Medtronic Spine business unit to ensure there are unified and balanced priorities for product development.

Requirements

  • Minimum Requirements Bachelor's Degree
  • 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
  • For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
  • U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and for the duration of employment (for roles below Principal level).

Nice To Haves

  • Medical device industry experience, spine preferred.
  • Marketing or Engineering experience in relevant fields

Responsibilities

  • Directs the definition of Product requirements, User and Business needs.
  • Lead the Discovery Phase: Engage in discussions with customers and business units; collect, summarize and refine Voice of customers (VOC) and Voice of Business (VOB), align with commercial, Sales and marketing staff, and provide one voice to R&D.
  • Conducts competitive intelligence analysis.
  • Define and coordinates, market research activities.
  • Interact directly with customers, identify new opportunities, understand the unmet needs, customers pain points, & requirements.
  • Conduct an opportunity assessment, for new or improved product capabilities or features.
  • Develop business models and determines market trends to substantiate long-term prospects.
  • Collaborate with other Upstream Marketing teams to define: Business Rational, Limited Release Y/N, Registrations, Forecast, Cost Targets etc.).
  • Develops business case, strategies, budgets, executions, measurement.
  • Utilize marketing tools to prioritize road map plans according to the high value problem and business impact.
  • Work closely with product development team over the entire product life cycle.
  • Represents customer needs during product development process - provide clear guidance to R&D.
  • Works with other functions to finalize product specifications.
  • Serves as technical adviser, demonstrating products and troubleshooting product issues.
  • Formulates and review product short and long-range plans, goals, and objectives.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding the customer’s primary motivations and clinical needs while utilizing large capital products in Spine Surgery
  • Transition programs into commercially viable programs to downstream counterparts
  • Partner with engineering, regulatory, legal, quality, and support teams to determine the ideal product for Spine Enabling Technology customers.
  • Create competitive positioning models to determine Medtronic’s position relative to competitive current and future state products and provide recommendations and/or solutions on how to better improve Medtronic’s position in the marketplace.
  • Create business plans and financial models for both major and minor product launches.
