About The Position

This position will be on the Optum Whole Health Solutions (WHS) team and will be accountable for the Musculoskeletal Product. You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week. It is no small task taking an idea through to implementation, so get ready for a challenge. Never content with “good enough,” you will need the perseverance to constantly enhance, track performance and improve your product in a highly matrixed environment. You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.

Requirements

3+ years of product management/product development experience
Client and executive presentation experience
Proven excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Proven to be self-directed individual with the ability to prioritize one’s work
Proven ability to leverage critical thinking skills to arrive at solutions
Demonstrated ability to effectively deal with levels of ambiguity - can effectively cope with change, can shift gears comfortably, can decide and act without having the total picture, comfortably handles risk and uncertainty
Demonstrated ability to achieve goals by working collaboratively with others in a matrixed environment
Demonstrated ability to execute and implement
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple initiatives and achieve goals

Responsibilities

Support the development and execution of product strategy with respect to value proposition, positioning, product portfolio(s), distribution and product features/function
Review product performance against expectations; formulate and recommend changes to achieve optimal performance
Innovate across the business in order to drive efficiency and growth; serve as a subject matter expert
Create cost-benefit analyses and frameworks to evaluate prioritization of new development
Influence innovation & integration across teams to ensure aligned; cohesive progress across technology, marketing and service operations
Client interaction and engagement is expected
