What you will do Own the end-to-end merchant experience: from developer onboarding and API integration through payment operations, revenue reconciliation, dispute management, and merchant dashboards Own the developer platform roadmap: API design, documentation, sandbox environments, and integration tooling that reduce time-to-first-sale Partner with engineering to design and ship platform integrations (Shopify, direct API, and emerging channels) Serve as the voice of the merchant — synthesizing feedback from sales, merchant support, and direct merchant conversations into a prioritized roadmap Define success metrics for merchant health (time to first sale, NRR, merchant NPS) and instrument the systems needed to track them Navigate the intersection of payments infrastructure and compliance requirements, translating regulatory constraints into implementable product decisions Drive cross-functional alignment across sales, customer support, and engineering to ensure smooth merchant launches and ongoing partner success Who you are Developer or merchant-facing experience: 3–5 years in product management, solutions engineering, developer relations, or a technical customer-facing role. You've sat across from a developer trying to integrate something you built, and you've felt the friction. API fluency: You've worked on or with REST APIs. You understand webhooks, auth patterns, error handling, and what good API documentation looks like. You can participate meaningfully in API design conversations. Operator mindset: You think about what merchants need to run their business — reconciliation, reporting, dispute resolution — not just what gets them to first sale. You understand that retention is a product problem. Communication as a superpower: You're the person who can take a complex technical concept and make it immediately clear to a non-technical merchant or executive. You write with precision. You run meetings that end with decisions. Bias for action: You default to shipping something and learning, not waiting for perfect specs. You've shipped a meaningful v0 in under two weeks and know what it takes to do it again. AI-fluent: You use LLMs to move faster — drafting specs, analyzing feedback, summarizing research — and you think about how AI can improve the products you build. About Truemed Our mission is to reverse chronic illness back to 1970s levels and make Americans healthy again. We will do this by shifting hundreds of billions of dollars away from our current broken healthcare system, and towards effective lifestyle interventions and prevention. Today's healthcare system spends less than 3% of the $4.3T in annual spending on prevention. This has to change. Today, 95% of all medical costs go to treating illness. Our goal is to empower people to invest in healthy habits today rather than treating illness in the future. Truemed enables patients to use pretax HSA/FSA funds to buy healthy food, exercise equipment, and supplements. We support brands like Peloton, Eight Sleep, Momentous, and hundreds of others. We're building the infrastructure that allows health and wellness merchants to accept the $150+ billion tied up in HSA and FSA accounts.
