Position Summary: Akebia is seeking a high-impact, mission-driven and collaborative Product Manager to play a key role in executing engaging marketing initiatives that drive adoption and sustained growth of Vafseo. This role will work closely with marketing leaders and cross-functional partners to support HCP and/or patient-facing programs across personal and non-personal channels. The ideal candidate is highly collaborative, performance-driven, and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic biotech environment. This role reports directly to the Director, Marketing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology or healthcare creative agency
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in marketing, communications or PR with experience working with HCP and/or patient marketing in personal or digital channels

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of the marketing plans for Vafseo across personal and non-personal marketing tactics
  • Ensure alignment of marketing materials with approved brand campaign and messages
  • Execute marketing materials to support HCP and patient communications across personal and non-personal communications (e.g. sales brochures, marketing CRM, etc.)
  • Execute marketing tactics at national and regional congresses in partnership with the personal promotion lead and meetings management
  • Collaborate effectively with Promotional Review Committee (PRC) partners to ensure execution aligns with brand strategy and marketing timelines
  • Support additional marketing initiatives and special projects as needed, including brand planning, budget tracking, and other ad hoc assignments to advance business objectives
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with areas outside the marketing team, including sales, commercial operations, medical affairs, regulatory, legal and compliance
  • Effectively manage agencies to achieve high quality deliverables within time and budget scopes
  • Support the brand team with assistance on process for contracts and procurement
  • Contribute to a collaborative, mission-driven culture focused on delivering meaningful outcomes for patients
