We also manufacture many specialty products to support validation and QC programs for analytical instruments, including a broad portfolio of fluorescent, count, size, and cell viability standards The Product Manager is responsible for the strategic management and success of our microsphere product lines. Acting as the market expert of each product, this role requires deep knowledge of market trends, competitive positioning, and customer needs. The Product Manager will collaborate with Development, Manufacturing, Marketing, and Sales to ensure our products outperform competitors and reach the right customers effectively.

Requirements

This position requires three to five years experience in the support of a scientific product line.
A bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline such as biochemistry, molecular biology, bioengineering, chemistry, or related scientific field and general, broad-based scientific knowledge is preferred.
Non-scientific degree will be considered with relative experience in a scientific field.
The person filling this position must be self-motivated and organized, with good interpersonal and leadership skills.
Strong analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail.
Excellent communication, both written and verbal.
Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Must have legal authorization to work in the US and will not require sponsorship.

Act as the "CEO" of each product, ensuring it has a competitive market position.
Understand and optimize competitive advantages, pricing, and performance characteristics.
Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the markets using particles in their applications.
Develop and execute product strategies that maximize revenue, market share, and profitability.
Own the full product lifecycle, from conception to launch, improvement, and retirement.
Conduct pricing analysis and recommend pricing strategies based on market data.
Conduct market research to understand industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer needs.
Regularly benchmark the company’s products against competitors in terms of price, performance, and value.
Define target market segments and ideal customer profiles for each product to guide marketing and sales efforts
Work closely with R&D to develop new products and improve existing ones.
Push for favorable product attributes that increase sales and improve market positioning.
Ensure that products comply with regulatory and industry standards.
Translate customer feedback and market trends into actionable product enhancements.
Clearly communicate product positioning, advantages, and competitive differentiation to the marketing team.
Partner with marketing to create compelling messaging, positioning, and promotional materials aligned with customer needs and industry trends
Support sales teams with product training, competitive insights, key product insights, and marketing materials.
Develop go-to-market strategies for new product launches and updates.
Monitor product profitability, sales performance, and market penetration.
Recommend pricing strategies and adjustments based on market conditions and market feedback
Drive continuous product optimization to maximize revenue and margin.
Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for product success.
Engage with customers and industry experts to understand market needs.
Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and customer meetings.
Build relationships with key stakeholders in industry leading customers and researchers in the market being served.
Translate customer insights into actionable product improvements.
