About The Position

Discovery, Preclinical, and Translational Solutions (DP&TS) sits at the center of Pfizer’s scientific software work, building the digital tools that help researchers move from target identification through clinical translation. We’re looking for a Senior Manager to lead complex digital and data initiatives for integrative biology across DP&TS. You’ll need deep knowledge of product delivery and data-enabled research workflows, plus enough fluency in adjacent scientific and engineering disciplines to make good calls when the work crosses boundaries. Reporting to the Group Product Manager, Targets and Mechanisms Solutions, you’ll shape strategy and lead complex projects across the SBU. You’ll partner with scientific, product, engineering, and operational stakeholders to translate research needs into practical solutions, and create an environment where people feel comfortable trying new approaches. The right person doesn’t wait to be told what to do: they see the problem, form a view, and get moving. They’re also the person others come to when things are ambiguous. What Your Typical Day Will Look Like A typical day means a mix of shaping direction (strategy conversations, roadmap decisions) and unblocking execution (cross-functional planning, dependency triage). You’ll be helping researchers get better tools while keeping the work on track.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Bioinformatics, Engineering, or related discipline)
  • 6+ years of experience in digital product management, technical program management, solution delivery, data solutions, bioinformatics, or related roles supporting complex scientific or enterprise environments
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives across a Sub Business Unit/Sub Operating Unit, including roadmap development, stakeholder alignment, delivery planning, and outcome tracking
  • Exceptional knowledge of own discipline with advanced knowledge of adjacent scientific, data, engineering, and operational disciplines relevant to integrative biology solutions
  • Proven ability to develop innovative solutions to complex problems while balancing appropriate risk-taking, compliance, usability, and business value
  • Proven success working independently, initiating assignments, exercising sound judgment, and serving as a resource for others
  • Experience with agile methodologies, DevSecOps practices, and fostering self-service capabilities for internal teams
  • Experience in the life sciences or pharmaceutical industry, particularly in R&D or translational research
  • Familiarity with GxP, HIPAA, and regulatory requirements related to R&D data
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact
  • Permanent work authorization in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex Integrative Biology solution initiatives across the SBU, keeping work tied to measurable research outcomes.
  • Bring deep product knowledge and enough range across adjacent disciplines to make sound decisions on solution design and priorities.
  • Shape roadmaps and lead cross-functional execution for initiatives that improve data integration, analytics, and scientific decision support.
  • Create a team environment where people feel free to try new approaches.
  • Solve complex problems for Integrative Biology teams by balancing scientific needs, technical feasibility, and compliance constraints.
  • Build the intake and prioritization practices that keep teams focused on high-value work.
  • Use feedback and operational data to improve adoption and usability over time.
  • Be the person scientific, product, engineering, and data stakeholders come to when things are unclear.
  • Work across matrixed teams to manage dependencies and keep priorities aligned.
  • Own outcomes for your solution areas: secure, scalable, compliant, supportable.
  • Push for automation, interoperability, and engineering practices that actually reduce friction.
  • Define what success looks like and track it.
  • Ensure platform services meet governance, data privacy, and regulatory standards.
  • Keep documentation in good shape for audits.
  • Apply responsible AI and data practices with transparency and fairness built in from the start.
