This role owns how VITL connects to the outside world: the EHR/EMR and practice-management systems clinics use, the pharmacy network that fulfills orders, and the public API that partners and customers build on. The role involves a full-spectrum day, including technical calls with partners, deal-structuring conversations with Business Development, and calls with pharmacy operations leads. The Product Manager sits at the center of Business Development, Sales, Engineering, and Operations, and is accountable for making the math work across all sides. While an engineering team handles deep implementation, the Product Manager's job is to create the specificity and strategy that guides this work. Key responsibilities include owning EHR/EMR integrations, pharmacy integrations, the public API and developer experience (including API, SDKs, docs, sandbox, webhooks, auth flows, and data models), integration roadmap, intake, and strategy. The role also involves commercial partnership with BD and sales, acting as the technical-economic voice in commercial conversations. Additionally, the Product Manager will handle scoping and delivery, including technical discovery calls, producing discovery summaries, negotiating timelines, and driving phased rollouts. Partner relationships and escalations, including defining pilots, running validations, and quarterbacking integrations through quality, migrations, incidents, and escalations, are also key aspects of the role.
