Product Manager, Inspection Software

Porch GroupSeattle, WA
$112,500 - $157,500Remote

About The Position

Porch Group is a leading vertical software and insurance platform focused on helping homebuyers move, maintain, and protect their homes. As a leader in the home services software-as-a-service (“SaaS”) space, Porch Group has established deep relationships with approximately 30,000 companies crucial to the home-buying transaction, such as home inspectors, mortgage companies, and title companies. The company began trading on the Nasdaq under the ticker symbol PRCH in 2020 and is committed to building a great company. This role is for a hands-on Product Manager to drive execution across Porch's Inspection Software business units, including ISN, Home Inspector Pro, and Palmtech. The position operates at the intersection of strategy and delivery, translating direction from the Head of Product into clear requirements, actionable roadmaps, and high-quality shipped features. The Product Manager will lead technical discussions with engineers, uphold high standards for user experience (UX), and mentor Associate Product Managers. This is an operational role requiring comfort with technical details, architectural discussions, design quality, and day-to-day team support.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of Product Management experience, including substantial direct work with engineering teams on technical products
  • Strong technical background — able to engage deeply with engineers on architecture, tradeoffs, and constraints, and make informed calls, not just facilitate the conversation
  • A track record as a UX leader — someone who has meaningfully shaped product usability and design quality, not just reviewed it
  • Experience managing or mentoring junior PMs/APMs, or leading cross-functional execution without direct authority
  • Strong working knowledge of Jira, Confluence, and feedback tools like Pendo or Canny
  • Data-driven approach to prioritization; comfortable pulling and interpreting product usage and support data
  • Excellent written communication — specs and feedback need to be clear enough that APMs and engineers can act on them without hand-holding

Responsibilities

  • Own execution of the product roadmap for one or more inspection software brands, translating strategic priorities from the Head of Product into clear, actionable requirements
  • Participate in technical conversations with engineering, evaluating approaches, scoping tradeoffs, and making sound calls on architecture and constraints
  • Drive strong UX outcomes across your team's work, setting a high bar for usability and design quality and pushing back when work doesn't meet it
  • Manage and mentor Associate Product Managers, reviewing their requirements and output, coaching on prioritization and stakeholder communication, and holding a consistent quality bar
  • Manage weekly demos of in-progress work for stakeholders, and quarterly demos of accomplishments and progress for leadership
  • Maintain Jira and Confluence documentation so roadmaps, specs, and decisions are current and accessible
  • Own smooth, well-run launches end to end — coordinating timelines, flagging risks early, ensuring QA sign-off, and keeping stakeholders informed
  • Use customer feedback (Intercom, Canny, NPS, sales/CS input, and other data) to inform prioritization and identify gaps
