About The Position

The Product Manager III is responsible for defining and executing the strategic roadmap for Zurn Elkay’s Pro Filtration platform. This role owns the end-to-end product lifecycle - from market insight and strategy development to new product commercialization and lifecycle management. The position plays a critical leadership role in driving new product development (NPD), new technology development (NTD), and customer adoption, working cross-functionally across engineering, sales, marketing, and operations. The Product Manager III will also serve as a key voice of the customer through direct engagement with professional channel partners and end users. Reports to: Sr. Product Management Director

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or related field
  • 10+ years of product management, product marketing, or related experience in manufacturing or industrial markets
  • Proven experience leading NPD projects and product strategy development
  • Strong commercial acumen, including pricing, margin management, and market analysis
  • Experience working directly with customers and channel partners
  • Technical aptitude with the ability to understand engineered product solutions

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the long-term product roadmap for the Pro Filtration platform aligned to business growth objectives
  • Identify market opportunities, competitive gaps, and emerging trends to inform strategic direction
  • Lead pricing strategy and product segmentation to optimize growth, profitability, and market share
  • Own and manage the NPD project funnel, ensuring a strong pipeline of innovation initiatives
  • Lead cross - functional teams through the stage-gate process from concept through launch
  • Drive business case development, including market sizing, financial modeling, and ROI analysis
  • Ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of NPD initiatives with clear commercialization plans
  • Define and manage the new technology development (NTD) funnel to support future platform differentiation
  • Partner with Engineering and Innovation teams to translate long-term capabilities into viable product solutions
  • Balance short-term product needs with long-term technology investments
  • Conduct regular customer visits with contractors, distributors, and end users
  • Gather Voice of Customer (VOC) insights to influence product development and continuous improvement
  • Deliver technical product training to customers, sales teams, and channel partners to support adoption
  • Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for Pro Filtration drinking water solutions
  • Drive Pro Filtration adoption through close partnership with commercial teams (Sales, Channel, Marketing)
  • Develop go-to-market strategies, including launch plans, messaging, and sales enablement tools
  • Support key account engagement and large project opportunities requiring technical expertise
  • Monitor adoption metrics and adjust strategies to accelerate growth
  • Manage the full product lifecycle, including product rationalization, cost optimization, and margin improvement
  • Track product performance, including revenue, profitability, and market share
  • Identify opportunities for product enhancements, extensions, or sunset decisions
