Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field
  • 8+ years of product management experience - exposure to, or experience in, the telecommunications industry is preferred.
  • Soft skills a must - must possess strong verbal and written communications skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills with ability to relate at all levels.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Must be tech savvy and able to read and understand product drawings.
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to be continually proactive.
  • Must always be able to communicate in a professional manner. This role is working with people daily, you must be a good listener and be able to analyze and problem solve quickly.
  • Must be proficient in the use of MS Office 365, including Teams, Word, Excel, Power Point, SharePoint, and Outlook.

  • Salesforce, Tableau, and Teamwork experience is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Establishes and drives product line and product family strategies, including growth, product rationalizations and consolidation efforts.
  • Mentors other Product Managers and Product Specialists on best practices.
  • Provides key input and consultation for strategic product line planning and investments.
  • Be recognized internally and externally as the technical subject matter expert on applications, needs analysis and best product fit.
  • Clearly understands and can communicate a compelling value proposition for each product.
  • Captures new opportunities and initiates development or engineering projects through justifiable business cases that support the strategy.
  • Manages the “cradle-to-grave” product lifecycle.
  • Establishes and maintains pricing strategies while optimizing margins and ROI.
  • Provides leadership and guidance to product planning, including S&OP, demand planning, inventory, and lead times.
  • Drives product manufacturing strategies in collaboration with Operations.
  • Generate successful product launches in collaboration with Marketing.
  • Provides expert knowledge and analysis of competitor product offerings, pricing, market positioning and recommends strategic product responses.
  • Monitors and understands major market changes and technology trends and can adjust strategies in response.
