About The Position

The Product Manager II will join an innovative team at the forefront of technological advancement in health education focused product development, specifically within Elsevier’s Education division. This division is a market leader in digital learning solutions, including assessments, simulations, and Generative AI, for students in Nursing & Health Professions. The role involves owning the Elsevier Adaptive Quizzing and EAQ AI product suite, which delivered over 8.3M assessments last year. The Product Manager II will drive solutions with delivery teams, set the agenda for product domains, and ensure program execution. They will also propose new business product strategies to address customer challenges and drive commercial success, while actively mentoring and informally leading cross-functional team members. The team culture emphasizes passion for education and health, aiming to help more students become practice-ready, and receives continuous Senior Management attention. This position reports to the VP of Product.

Requirements

  • Have 2-5 years of Product Management experience working in an agile team environment.
  • Demonstrate long-term ownership and success in leading product lifecycle strategy and planning.
  • Be able to develop deep customer relationships that drive meaningful dialogue about the future direction of a product.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working on a successful GAI project; understanding of RAG architecture environments and LLMs is a major plus.
  • Experience working with Evaluation and Data Science teams and creating requirements for effective research and outcomes a major plus.
  • Background in healthcare-related or education-related fields a plus.
  • Experience working with querying user data a major plus.

Responsibilities

  • Interacts with customers regularly and thoroughly understands their use cases and problems to solve.
  • Validates product strategy based on knowledge of customers, competitors, customer feedback, internal data, and market trends.
  • Drives formulation of overall research/testing strategy and ensures product decisions are based on data.
  • Identify key data and set KPIs, priorities, and dashboards.
  • Develop hypothesis-driven product evaluation strategies, including AB testing for interactive products in-line with NHE’s Responsible AI framework.
  • Develop clear go-to-market launch plans with marketing and sales teams.
  • Participate in business strategic planning and contribute to sales and business development strategies.
  • Develops appropriate metrics and tracking of launch initiatives and ensures reporting to stakeholders.
  • Ensures ROI for go to market strategy, including revenue goals.
  • Oversees the product strategy, planning, and execution.
  • Propose or support business cases for investment.
  • Utilize or extend the company's platform and underlying technologies to create new product features.
