About The Position

As a Product Manager I at Verisk, you will lead an empowered product team to deliver meaningful outcomes, working closely with a tech lead and product designer to understand user needs and create solutions for the property insurance industry. The role centers on owning problems rather than simply responding to feature requests, and taking accountability for solving customer and business problems in scalable, sustainable ways. You will lead discovery, validate opportunities with users, turn validated opportunities into requirements and iterations, and use metrics and feedback to assess results. You will collaborate with engineering, QA, and cross-functional stakeholders, contribute to planning and product strategy, and represent the product in customer and industry settings. The role may involve occasional travel of 10% or less.

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, design, insurance, or a related field, or equivalent work-related experience and training.
  • 1–3 years of experience in product management, business analysis, UX, or technical roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to define problems, understand users, and deliver working software.
  • Solid grasp of agile and dual-track discovery principles.
  • Excellent communication skills for storytelling, alignment, and documentation.
  • Growth mindset, curiosity, and humility.
  • Experience with product analytics tools such as Mixpanel, Amplitude, SQL, or Power BI.
  • Experience with product, project, or issue management tools such as JIRA, Rally, Product Board, Confluence, Lucid, Miro, or Figma.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects in various stages simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated time and priority management skills.
