Product Manager, Growth

Smalls
$155,000 - $185,000Remote

About The Position

Smalls is a premium DTC cat food and cat lifestyle brand. We make fresh, human-grade food for cats. We are hiring a Product Manager to own how new customers discover, evaluate, and buy Smalls. This role sits at the intersection of product and marketing, focusing on the conversion funnel, running experiments, and thinking in terms of customer segments and experiences. The role also involves platform work and other high-leverage tasks as needed within a lean team structure.

Requirements

  • Strong A/B testing track record and a hypothesis-driven approach.
  • Understanding of marketing signals infrastructure (attribution, pixels, event quality) sufficient to improve it.
  • Experience running CRO programs with landing page testing.
  • Solid understanding of e-commerce fundamentals including PDP, CLP, and checkout.
  • Ability to learn fast, make decisions with partial information, and handle a broad remit.
  • Strong execution skills with a proven ability to drive projects.
  • Experience from a digitally native retailer with a strong digital product, not big tech.

Nice To Haves

  • Subscription DTC experience
  • Shopify experience
  • SQL/analytics tooling fluency (Heap, Segment)
  • Personalization or segmentation experience

Responsibilities

  • Own the conversion funnel from first site visit through first box, identifying friction, forming hypotheses, shipping improvements, and driving new-customer growth.
  • Run an experimentation program with a high tempo, including a prioritized backlog of A/B tests and landing page experiments, with a focus on tracking results and learnings.
  • Partner with marketing on the tracking and signals layer, including attribution, pixel and event quality, and MarTech tooling.
  • Design personalized customer experiences based on behavior data and customer feedback, targeting specific segments rather than just funnel steps.
  • Shape the purchasing experience as the company evolves beyond subscription to include one-time purchases and new commerce paths.
  • Act as a force multiplier by scoping and driving high-priority problems, including platform or internal tooling work, in close partnership with engineering, managing tradeoffs between speed, quality, and maintainability.
  • Manage the end-to-end scope of CRO, including on-site experience, LP testing, the experimentation program, MarTech tooling, the tracking/signals layer, and e-commerce purchase paths.

Benefits

  • Competitive Salary
  • Fully paid Health, Vision, and Dental insurance
  • 4-day work week
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Fully Remote Office & Culture
  • Free Product (free cat food every month)
