About The Position

Aligns stakeholder need, data and modeling capabilities, and regulatory policy to develop and execute roadmaps that deliver risk modeling products to PG&E’s internal stakeholders. Responsible for risk product strategy, content, and evaluation. This includes collecting insights into stakeholder need, testing concepts and developing prototypes, defining features and benefits of products, building the solution, articulating a distinct value proposition, testing with stakeholders, managing a continuous improvement cycle to improve efficacy and cost-effectiveness, and versioning the model portfolio. The product management role is part of a matrix organization with the product manager as a subject-matter and content expert for the risk product. This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the Bay Area of the PG&E Service Territory. PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in Business, Economics, Environmental Science, Engineering, Physics, or equivalent experience.
  • Job-related experience, 8 years
  • Broad expertise in product management and applies advanced knowledge to wide-ranging issues.
  • Deep understanding of regulatory commitments and is capable of responding to regulatory requests for information.

  • Masters Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Physics, Economics or equivalent experience
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA)

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates model and product value and communicates benefit to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Takes ownership of external facing product documentation and regulatory filing narrative descriptions.
  • Develops innovative solutions to complex product issues and is capable of collaborating with data scientists and data engineers to break solutions into technical development tasks.
  • May manage cross-functional projects or initiatives.
  • Manages a highly complex product or a group of complex products.
  • Responsible for development and execution of product roadmaps.
  • Works with & leverages relationships with Directors and Managers across functions / PG&E.
