About The Position

Legacybox helps families preserve their memories by digitizing media like VHS tapes, film reels, photos, and more, transforming them into digital formats for future generations. The company is expanding beyond digitization to build a long-term family memory platform and redefine what can be preserved. They are in the business of preserving irreplaceable memories. The Product Manager will own Digifactory OS, the proprietary software platform that powers the company's digitization facility. This software is crucial for routing orders, coordinating equipment and operators, tracking items in real-time, integrating with e-commerce and customer applications, managing customer notifications, and enabling the expansion of preservation services. The role involves owning the product roadmap, collaborating with various teams to enhance capacity, quality, automation, and customer experience. This is not an internal tools role; the software built directly impacts how quickly families receive their memories, the quality of preservation, and the development of new preservation capabilities.

Requirements

Experience managing software products or complex operational systems.
Experience working closely with software engineering teams.
Strong product judgment and prioritization skills.
Ability to simplify complex operational workflows.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Highly organized without becoming bureaucratic.
Curious about AI, automation, and process improvement.
Comfortable spending time on the production floor learning how the work actually happens.
Bias toward ownership, execution, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Own Digifactory OS
Define and prioritize the product roadmap for Digifactory OS.
Partner with Product to design, build, and ship software that powers our production facility.
Work closely with Operations to identify bottlenecks and turn them into software solutions.
Balance customer impact, operational efficiency, and engineering investment when making product decisions.
Expand What We Digitize: Work alongside the R&D team to bring new digitization technologies into production, integrating them into Digifactory OS.
Improve Factory Performance: Increase production capacity, automate workflows, improve quality assurance using software and AI, reduce friction for operators, improve reporting and analytics, and optimize work flow.
Improve the Customer Experience: Enhance systems that keep customers informed about the digitization process, improve order tracking, production updates, and delivery expectations, and ensure seamless integration with various platforms and systems.
