About The Position

Ford Credit is seeking a Product Manager, Enterprise Payments to support the Core Payments organization across customer payments, dealer payments, and enterprise payment APIs. This role is intended for a Product Manager who will initially build depth in the payments domain by shadowing and supporting the CEFT, DEFT, and Core Payments API portfolios. The individual will work closely with senior product leaders, engineering partners, and cross-functional stakeholders to understand Ford Credit’s payment ecosystem, including customer ACH payments, dealer electronic funds transfer, payment initiation APIs, wallet/payment method capabilities, payment authorization, payment status, and payment operations. As the individual gains experience, they will begin owning specific payment capabilities, features, backlog areas, or program workstreams. The role may report into or be assigned under Core Payments leadership depending on final team structure and portfolio needs. This is a growth-oriented product role for someone who can learn quickly, operate in a complex enterprise environment, and develop into a strong payments product owner over time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business or any discipline
  • 3+ years of experience in product management, business analysis, technology delivery, payments, financial services, or a closely related field.
  • Ability to organize complex information, clarify requirements, and drive follow-up across multiple cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between business and technical teams.
  • Capacity to quickly grasp technical concepts such as APIs, system integrations, data flows, batch/file processing, and payment lifecycle behaviors.
  • Strong attention to detail and the persistence to work through complex operational and system dependencies.
  • Ability to operate effectively in ambiguity, asking thoughtful questions to drive clarity and alignment.
  • A strong, demonstrated interest in learning about payments, banking, FinTech, and enterprise platform products

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree in Finance, Business or any discipline
  • Exposure to payments ecosystems, ACH processing, electronic funds transfer (EFT), banking, lending, billing, or dealer operations.
  • Hands-on experience with Agile delivery methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Rally, Azure DevOps).
  • Proven experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, process documentation, or technical business requirements.
  • Familiarity with APIs, customer-facing digital experiences, operational systems, or enterprise platforms.
  • Experience supporting cross-functional programs or large-scale technology initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Execute product management activities across the CEFT, DEFT, and Core Payments API portfolios.
  • Assist with backlog grooming, user story writing, defining acceptance criteria, prioritization, and sprint/PI planning activities.
  • Support product managers and engineering teams in translating complex business needs into clear, actionable product requirements.
  • Actively participate in delivery ceremonies, planning sessions, stakeholder meetings, testing discussions, and production support reviews.
  • Assist with the documentation of payment flows, process maps, system interactions, and MVP scope decisions.
  • Track dependencies, risks, decisions, and open questions across various payments-related initiatives.
  • Support major enterprise initiatives as assigned, including Ford Credit Bank, Ford Bill, Alfa, and Core Payments modernization.
  • Partner seamlessly with engineering, architecture, operations, treasury, compliance, servicing, Ford Pro, FordPay, and other business units.
  • Prepare leadership readouts, product updates, and status summaries.
  • Over time, assume direct, autonomous ownership of defined features, capabilities, or backlog areas within the broader payments portfolio.
