About The Position

Matador AI is the conversational AI platform behind 1,500+ automotive and powersports dealerships across North America. Our AI engages customers across chat, SMS, voice, and email — answering inventory questions, capturing leads, and booking appointments 24/7. We’re looking for a Product Manager to own two of our highest-leverage product areas: Chat AI, the AI-powered chat experience on dealership websites, and our OEM integration programs — certified partnerships with manufacturers including Honda, Acura, Nissan, Stellantis, and BMW.

Requirements

  • Product management experience: 3+ years in B2B SaaS, ideally on AI/ML-powered products.
  • Technical fluency: comfortable reading API docs, XML/JSON payloads, data feeds, and webhook flows — you can go deep with engineers without writing the code yourself. ADF/CRM lead-flow experience is a strong plus.
  • Analytical rigor: you define metrics, dig into data yourself (SQL a plus), and make decisions from evidence, not vibes.
  • Program management under external constraints: proven ability to run multi-stakeholder initiatives where certification requirements and OEM timelines are non-negotiable.
  • Excellent written communication: your specs, tickets, and partner updates are clear enough to execute from without a meeting.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in automotive retail technology: CRMs, DMS platforms, OEM certification programs, or dealer website providers.
  • Background in conversational AI, LLM-based products, or prompt/eval quality workflows.
  • Bilingual — English/French.
  • Familiarity with OEM analytics and reporting ecosystems (Shift Digital, JD Power, or similar).

Responsibilities

  • Own the Chat AI roadmap end-to-end — widget experience (smart greetings, pre-built questions, quick replies), conversation quality, multilingual behavior, lead capture, and appointment booking accuracy.
  • Define and defend the KPIs that matter — leads generated, assisted appointments, booking accuracy, response latency, contact capture — and drive the evals and dashboards that prove improvements actually hold in production.
  • Lead OEM certified-program integrations: lead routing standards (ADF/XML, STAR, direct post), OEM lead management systems, certified reporting feeds (SFTP deliveries, analytics providers like Shift Digital), and program compliance requirements such as OEM-mandated pricing display rules.
  • Manage the CRM and inventory integration surface — VinSolutions, DealerSocket, eLead, Tekion, DriveCentric, vAuto, HomeNet — turning messy real-world feed constraints into clean, buildable product requirements.
  • Write crisp, implementation-ready specs and drive execution in Linear across our AI, Core, Data, and Integration engineering teams.
  • Partner with Sales, CS, and OEM program managers on dealer enrollment, pilot launches, onboarding, and delivering LOE/ETAs when manufacturers mandate global changes on real deadlines.
  • Stay close to the product: review real dealer conversations, investigate friction patterns, and translate what you find into roadmap priorities.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary
  • group insurance
  • wellness benefit
  • retirement savings
  • shuttle service from Côte-Vertu and Montmorency metro stations
