About The Position

The Product Manager, AV Systems, manages the platforms that the AV business runs on. They gather requirements from the field, work with vendors to scope and deliver enhancements, and ensure that teams are informed & trained. They bring structure to complexity, advocate for the end users, and keep platforms moving in the right direction. This position will support our Audio Visual and Event Technology team. It is eligible to work a hybrid schedule, generally requiring work in-office and/or show-site 2-3 days per week based out of Dallas, TX.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree preferred, High School Diploma or Equivalent with relevant work experience required
  • Previous software/partner management experience
  • Excellent analysis and problem solving skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • 5-7 years of AV knowledge preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support and contribute to the product roadmaps, aligning enhancement priorities to operational needs and business strategy
  • Lead structured discovery with operations, project managers, and leadership to surface system gaps and translate them into clear, actionable requirements
  • Develop and maintain product documentation, process flows, and business cases for leadership review as needed
  • Manage enhancement backlog: intake, triage, prioritization, and status tracking across active workstreams
  • Serve as the point of contact for external AV Systems partners; maintain productive working relationships and hold partners accountable to delivery commitments
  • Review and interpret SOWs, change orders, and vendor proposals; flag scope, cost, or timeline concerns to leadership
  • Coordinate feature scoping sessions between vendor product teams and internal stakeholders
  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of platform changes, from requirements through UAT, deployment, and post-launch monitoring
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing with stakeholders; document results and manage issue resolution with vendors
  • Develop and execute change communication plans to ensure affected users are informed and prepared ahead of system updates
  • Identify and document process inefficiencies and recommend solutions
  • Partner with IT on platform integrations, upgrade paths, migration planning, and technical feasibility assessments
  • Work with finance and leadership to build cost/impact analyses supporting platform investment decisions
  • Collaborate with operations and project management teams to ensure platform capabilities align with field execution needs
  • Surface competitive intelligence and market trends to inform product strategy
  • Own the platforms; system health, vendor delivery, and user experience as your responsibility, not someone else's problem to escalate
  • Lead with curiosity; understanding how the field works; spend time with the people who use what you manage
  • Be the translator; your job is to bridge the gap between technical and operational, make both sides feel heard and understood
  • Stay ahead of risk; flag scope creep, vendor delays, and integration issues early; surprises are avoidable with the right discipline
  • Collaborate without territorial thinking; the best decisions are made across teams
  • Represent the user; every decision should connect back to the people doing the work in the field
