About the position
As a product manager at Coactive, you will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of Coactive's solution for structured visual data. Your role will involve identifying and prioritizing whole-product capabilities to support the company's strategy and business goals. You will develop and maintain the product strategy, roadmap, and feature-level requirements, while also playing a critical role in developing the product positioning and messaging platform. In this fast-paced startup environment, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, interact with customers, and work closely with development teams to drive product features.
Responsibilities
- Understand customer businesses and customer problems to define personas and guide product features and experiences.
- Identify attractive target segments considering competition, pain points, product fit, sales and adoption cycles, competitive advantages, customer success stories, and benefits delivered.
- Articulate what the company will not pursue to focus limited resources on high-value product investments.
- Define hypotheses and develop low-cost methods of testing for product market fit and value delivery to minimize product development risk.
- Socialize and solicit feedback on product strategy with internal stakeholders to gain buy-in, alignment, and clarity on product objectives and goals.
- Build and maintain a high-level 12-24 month whole-product roadmap across relevant functional and non-functional areas.
- Produce goals and measurable outcomes to define product success.
- Build and manage an enhancement request process to prioritize and respond to customer requests for new capabilities.
- Write detailed epics, stories, and requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve the software development lifecycle process and adopt effective practices and tools supporting agile development.
- Establish a systematic process for soliciting user feedback throughout the user experience (UX) design and development process.
- Design a release strategy and cadence to support change management across multiple customers in multiple segments.
- Establish a foundational product messaging framework to effectively communicate the value proposition and clear points of difference to the customer.
- Support sales processes by presenting on product capabilities, roadmap, and plans, and integrating feedback into the product roadmap.
- Define and evolve product management processes to improve product effectiveness, quality, user experience, time to market, and efficiency.
- Perform win/loss analysis on each deal and evaluate market response for product market fit, adjusting product strategy and roadmap accordingly.
- Meet with customers and participate in sales engagement to develop a first-hand perspective of customer and market needs.
- Actively seek customer and market input and data as a source of product innovation.
Requirements
- BS in computer science, engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent experience
- MBA is highly desirable
- 4-6+ years of B2B technology product management experience
- Proven track record of delivering compelling solutions
