About The Position

We are looking for a Product Manager 2 to own the experimentation, observability, and platform infrastructure capabilities that power Nordstrom's digital experience. This role sits at the intersection of engineering infrastructure and product delivery. You'll define roadmaps, make prioritization tradeoffs, and help Nordstrom's platform evolve at a moment when the tools teams use to experiment, monitor, and ship software are changing fast. Every experiment run on the site, every real time analytics insight surfaced, and every build that goes through the release pipeline touches your portfolio. Your decisions directly impact the velocity and quality of work for 15+ product and engineering teams.

Requirements

  • 3+ years as a PM working on internal platforms, developer tools, or experimentation infrastructure.
  • Strong technical aptitude with ability to engage on topics like A/B test statistical validity, feature flag architecture, and digital experience analytics without needing everything translated.
  • Excellence at working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, aligning diverse teams through clear, persuasive communication.
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills with ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
  • Self-starter with strong drive and meticulous attention to detail, able to own initiatives end-to-end while ensuring nothing falls through the cracks
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing vendor relationships, evaluating third-party platforms, and translating business requirements into technical specifications
  • Experience with experimentation platforms (Optimizely, StatSig) or product analytics tooling (Quantum Metric, FullStory, Amplitude)

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the product roadmap for experimentation and platform infrastructure, ensuring alignment with Nordstrom’s engineering strategy and broader digital product goals.
  • Evaluate where AI and automation can accelerate roadmap delivery or unlock new platform capabilities.
  • Evangelize the roadmap with stakeholders across Engineering, Product, Digital Merchandising and Analytics.
  • Help determine where AI adds real value to our platform capabilities, build the case to invest, and execute on the bets that clear the bar.
  • Own vendor relationships with partners including Optimizely and Quantum Metric, defining platform roadmap requirements, feature prioritization, integration needs, and performance expectations.
  • Define and monitor KPIs across your portfolio. Use those metrics to make investment decisions.
  • Stay current with emerging practices in frontend platform engineering and experimentation tooling.
  • Write user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical requirements for platform features, tooling improvements, vendor integrations, and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Define clear definitions of done and measurement plans.
  • Own launch plans including UAT, communication, change management, and post-launch validation.
  • Work with engineering to drive progress through day-to-day backlog management, agile ceremonies, and release planning.
  • Partner with Engineering Manager and Tech Leads to align on priorities and execution.
