About The Position

The Product Management Specialist is an early‑career, developmental role designed for individuals interested in growing into a full Product Manager position over time. The Specialist supports product management activities and specific deliverables while gaining hands‑on exposure to product lifecycle management, market analysis, cross‑functional collaboration, and customer value creation. Working under the direction of a Product Manager or senior leader, this role contributes to real product initiatives while building the skills and business understanding required to eventually take on broader product ownership and strategic responsibility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field
  • Minimum of 1 year of product management or related experience (e.g., engineering support, business analysis, project coordination, marketing, operations, or sales support)
  • Foundational understanding of business concepts and product lifecycle principles
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross‑functional, team‑oriented environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard business tools
  • Motivation to grow into a broader product management role over time
  • Visionary able to motivate others to achieve and win as a team
  • Negotiation/persuasion skills
  • Customer facing position – travel required

Responsibilities

  • Support assigned product lines or market segments through defined product management deliverables
  • Assist with gathering and analyzing voice‑of‑customer input, market trends, and competitive information
  • Help translate product requirements and customer needs into documentation for engineering, sales, and operations
  • Partner with Product Management, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Finance, and Operations teams on ongoing product initiatives
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) and lifecycle activities, including coordination, tracking, and internal communication
  • Assist with pricing, performance tracking, and basic business analysis under the guidance of a Product Manager
  • Help prepare internal updates, presentations, and materials related to product performance and initiatives
  • Learn and apply Sensience product management processes, tools, and best practices
