About The Position

As a product management intern, you'll use your analytical skills, leadership capabilities, and strategic thinking to advance product initiatives across different locomotive platforms. You will support the development of product strategy, evaluate product initiatives, and work closely with cross-functional partners in Engineering, Sourcing, Quality, and Manufacturing. Requirements

  • Pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in one of the following areas: Product Management, Strategy or Supply Chain.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA 3.0/4.0 ("B" average).
  • Experience driving results in a fast paced environment
  • Basic PC knowledge for data entry
  • Familiarity with manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
  • Developed analytical ability
  • Minimal travel may be necessary

Responsibilities

  • Support monthly reporting on product initiatives
  • Maintain satisfactory academic standing in college
  • Perform work assignments to satisfaction of assigned departments
  • Obtain knowledge of facility and its operations
  • Make efficient use of time spent on work assignments
  • Work cooperatively and efficiently with other personnel
  • Perform special short-term assignments as they pertain to work area
  • Frequent contact with others outside the work group
  • Complete assignments within a department or activity which utilize the employee’s academic discipline
  • Travel as required
