About The Position

GCG is seeking a Product Line Manager to lead the commercial and operational performance of our OEM cable assembly business within our Custom Engineered Solutions (CES) division. This is a highly analytical role supporting more than $60 million in OEM business across four manufacturing and operating facilities. Reporting to our Vice President of Assembly, you will help leadership understand how the business is performing across product lines, customers, facilities, and part numbers. You will analyze margins, sales trends, finished-goods inventory, customer forecasts, commodity costs, pricing, backlog, and other performance indicators, then turn that information into clear recommendations for our Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance leaders. You will also improve forecasting and analytical models, validate existing business-intelligence reporting, build CES-specific dashboards where reporting gaps exist, and help coordinate cross-functional initiatives involving pricing, inventory, cost reduction, new-part introductions, and process improvement. This is a remote position requiring the employee to work from the Eastern or Central Time Zone. The role may require approximately quarterly travel, primarily to GCG facilities.

Requirements

  • At least three years of experience in product management, supply chain, demand planning, commercial analysis, pricing, inventory management, or a related analytical role
  • Professional experience within manufacturing or industrial distribution
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing sales, inventory, pricing, forecasting, margin, or other operational and commercial data
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including experience creating and maintaining multi-sheet workbooks, pivot tables, lookups, dashboards, and data-validation tools
  • Experience extracting, reconciling, validating, and interpreting information from ERP, business-intelligence, or related business systems
  • Strong analytical judgment and attention to detail, with a consistent focus on data accuracy and practical business implications
  • Strong organizational and project-coordination skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholder needs
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present analysis and recommendations to leadership
  • Ability to influence work, coordinate priorities, and provide functional direction without formal reporting authority
  • Ability to work remotely from the Eastern or Central Time Zone and align working hours with applicable teams and stakeholders
  • Ability to travel approximately quarterly, primarily to GCG facilities

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience
  • Experience with electrical products, including wire, cable, custom cable assemblies, wire harnesses, or related components
  • Experience with commodity-based pricing or metals escalation and de-escalation practices, particularly involving copper
  • Experience supporting multiple manufacturing or operating facilities.
  • Demonstrated familiar with Enterprise ERP system (Oracle preferred) for data extraction purposes
  • Experience building or validating business-intelligence dashboards and reporting tools
  • Practical experience coordinating project timelines, deliverables, action items, and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Experience supporting customer pricing, forecast, contract, or business-performance discussions

Responsibilities

  • Collect, clean, and analyze product line performance, including sales, margins, pricing, forecasts, backlog, and inventory, to identify risks and growth opportunities.
  • Develop actionable recommendations that improve profitability, pricing strategy, inventory performance, and customer service.
  • Build and maintain forecasting models that improve demand planning and inventory alignment.
  • Monitor commodity markets, including copper, and support pricing adjustments and metals escalation programs.
  • Review customer pricing quarterly and ensure price lists accurately reflect approved commercial agreements and margin objectives.
  • Develop dashboards and analytical tools using Oracle, S2K, Excel, and business intelligence platforms to improve business visibility.
  • Coordinate cross-functional initiatives involving pricing, cost reduction, inventory optimization, reporting improvements, and new product introductions.
  • Partner closely with Sales, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Customer Service, and Strategic Account Managers to drive informed business decisions.
  • Present business performance, trends, and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Support new customer project management
