About The Position

The Product Line Manager is responsible for the strategic direction, lifecycle management, and profitability of a specific product line or portfolio. This role serves as the business owner for the product line, working cross-functionally with engineering, sales, marketing, supply chain, and customer service to ensure product success from concept to end-of-life. The Product Line Manager analyzes market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity to drive product innovation, roadmap development, and go-to-market strategy.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of product lifecycle management, go-to-market strategies, and P&L ownership.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally in a matrixed environment.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Familiarity with tools such as ERP systems, CRM platforms, and product management software (e.g., Jira,Aha!,Confluence).
  • Experience managing technical or hardware-based product lines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or related field; MBA or technical master's degree is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in productmanagement,preferablywithin energy, electronics,softwareorsimilarfield.
  • Familiarity with compliance standards and certification processes (e.g., UL, CE, ISO).

  • Background insolar energyis preferred.Power electronics, industrial equipment, or similar sectorswould be considered.
  • Prior involvement with international markets and global product strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full lifecycle of the assigned product line — from market research and roadmap planning to launch, performance tracking, and phase-out.
  • Define product strategy, value propositions, and positioning based on market needs, customer feedback, and business goals.
  • Collaborate with engineering and R&D teams to define product requirements, features, and timelines.
  • Analyze product performance, pricing strategies, and margins to ensure profitability and market competitiveness.
  • Act as the product line expert, supporting sales teams with training, technical documentation, and customer presentations.
  • Conduct market and competitor analysis toidentifytrends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Manage product launches and work with marketing to develop go-to-market strategies, collateral, and messaging.
  • Partner with operations and supplychainto ensure product availability, forecast accuracy, and cost optimization.
  • Collect and prioritize customer feedback and market data to influence future product development.
  • Monitor product KPIs such as revenue, gross margin, market share, and customer satisfaction.
