About The Position

The Product Line Manager will own the commercial success of the product line, including bookings, revenue, profitability, pricing strategy, forecasting, and execution of actions required to achieve financial commitments. This role serves as the primary product leader for Sales, driving market execution, supporting strategic opportunities, developing new customers and applications, and building strong relationships with existing customers to accelerate growth. The Product Line Manager will lead the full product lifecycle from concept through end-of-life, ensuring alignment with customer needs, market trends, business objectives, and operational capabilities. They will develop market, revenue, and bookings forecasts while coordinating inputs from Sales, customers, Operations, and Finance, and will own business case development and phase-gate decisions for New Product Introduction (NPI) opportunities. This role requires cross-functional leadership through influence across Engineering, R&D, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and Sales to align priorities and execute product strategies. The Product Line Manager will develop and execute multi-year product and revenue roadmaps, leveraging customer insights, market trends, competitive intelligence, and technical expertise to identify and commercialize new growth opportunities. Additionally, they will possess executive presence and customer engagement skills, effectively communicating product line performance, business cases, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership while representing the business with key customers and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in product management, engineering, or a related technical/commercial role
  • B.S. in a related technical field
  • Experience in high-tech manufacturing environments, ideally related to Photonics, Photonics or Advanced Materials
  • Proven track record of owning revenue and profitability for a product or business line
  • Demonstrated ability to work across Sales, Engineering, and Operations in a matrix environment with excellent communication skills
  • Seasoned customer-facing experience with the ability to influence technical and business decisions.
  • Strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills
