About The Position

First Quality is a family-owned company with a long history of growth and a commitment to its values. They are seeking a Product Lifecycle Management Team Leader for their facility in Salt Lake City, UT. This role is responsible for coordinating and planning new product introductions and upgrades, managing project timelines, tasks, risks, and reporting. The Team Leader will ensure smooth transitions between project phases and oversee direct reports to meet internal and customer expectations for assigned product categories.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or comparable work experience in Project Management.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of Project Management experience, preferably with a background in CPG and technical/operations projects.
  • ERP system experience, SAP preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to influence and motivate non-direct reports; leading high performing cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated success in leading projects, with ability to handle multiple priorities under compressed timelines.
  • Demonstrated experience working independently and collaboratively within a cross-functional team.
  • Organized and efficient approach; understand and address inter-dependencies and real issues.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; solid presentation skills.
  • Ability to provide solutions to assist in decision making and problem solving.
  • Ability to successfully navigate in a complex, evolving environment.
  • Excellent ability to build and manage interpersonal relationships; ability to influence.
  • Aptitude; flexibility and ability to adapt to change.

Nice To Haves

  • Operational/Planning background a plus.
  • Project Management (PMI) and/or Lean Six-Sigma certification a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the PLM representative on the Category BU team, communicating project status and information between the PLM team and the BU.
  • Lead cross-functional BU Sub-Teams to develop project plans, including timelines, tasks, team responsibilities, risks, and status reporting.
  • Manage ongoing project plan activities and identify/mitigate risks to achieve project objectives.
  • Track project progress against milestones, issue status reports, and escalate issues or obsolescence risks to the Business Unit.
  • Collaborate with the PLM Director to establish, utilize, and enforce balanced end-to-end Product Lifecycle Management business processes.
  • Ensure effective team decision-making at key milestone decision points.
  • Manage and influence core project teams to achieve key deliverables.
  • Monitor PLM Base Finished Good workflows in the IPS Tool in SAP to ensure adherence to defined processes and key milestones.
  • Document post-launch learnings and identify/implement process improvements for future projects.
  • Oversee direct reports (PLM Project Manager) to ensure execution projects meet internal and customer expectations for assigned categories.
  • Lead and develop continuous improvement efforts to refine and enhance PLM processes for improved efficiency, speed to market, customer experience, service, and reduced obsolescence.
