About The Position

The Product Lifecycle Lead owns the governance, integrity, and lifecycle management of product and item master data across enterprise systems. This role ensures product information is accurately created, maintained, and aligned with organizational standards to support manufacturing, supply chain operations, financial reporting, customer requirements, and regulatory compliance. Serving as the subject matter expert and process owner for product data, the Product Lifecycle Lead partners cross-functionally with product development, operations, supply chain, sales, and information systems teams to manage new product introductions, product changes, and ongoing lifecycle maintenance. This role is critical to enabling efficient operations, accurate business reporting, and successful commercialization through the delivery of high-quality, standardized product data across enterprise platforms and external partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Information Systems, Food Science, or a related field required
  • 3-5 years of related experience in product data management, master data governance, supply chain operations, or enterprise systems support within a manufacturing or product-based environment, required.
  • Working knowledge of enterprise systems and workflow tools used to manage product data, approvals, and lifecycle changes, required.
  • Ability to design, document, and maintain business processes supporting product data creation, maintenance, and governance, required.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to JD Edwards a plus.
  • Familiarity with Codesoft, Nicelabel and TekLynx labeling software, preferred.
  • Knowledge of industry data standards and product attribute requirements used for internal operations and external data exchange, preferred.
  • Data analytics, statistical competence, and coding experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Owns the creation, maintenance, governance, and continuous improvement of product master data and connected enterprise systems, ensuring accuracy, completeness, traceability, version control, and alignment across platforms.
  • In partnership with Product Development, Quality, and Sales, develops, maintains, and manages specifications for raw materials, packaging components, work-in-process items, and finished goods, ensuring alignment with approved formulas, quality standards, regulatory requirements, and operational needs.
  • Manages product change workflows, specification approvals, and implementation timing to ensure controlled and accurate release of product information to manufacturing and business stakeholders.
  • Input and maintain bills of material (BOMs), product structures, item setup, and product hierarchies to support manufacturing execution, costing, inventory management, and operational system accuracy.
  • Creates and maintains operational and customer-facing printed on-demand labels, ensuring alignment with approved specifications, packaging configurations, customer requirements, and enterprise system data.
  • Serves as a steward of product master data by auditing data integrity, resolving discrepancies, establishing data standards and business rules, and driving corrective actions and process improvements.
  • Leads the transition and commercialization handoff of product specifications and data from Product Development to Operations, ensuring manufacturing readiness for new products, reformulations, packaging changes, and item updates from a data and systems perspective.
  • Partners cross-functionally with R&D, operations, quality, procurement, supply chain, sales, and information systems teams to support data governance, resolve technical data issues, and improve the efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of product data processes.
  • Partner with teams across R&D, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Sales, FSQR, and Marketing to support product data needs.
  • Provide guidance and training related to product data standards and governance practices.
  • Support initiatives requiring accurate and consistent product data across systems and partners.
