About The Position

Klaviyo is scaling fast after going public in 2023. This role offers a unique opportunity to significantly impact the foundational Finance systems of a rapidly growing company. The Finance Technology Systems team, part of G&A Systems within Global Technology Solutions (GTS), is responsible for designing, operating, and enhancing the applications and workflows that manage Klaviyo's finances, risk, and financial reporting at scale. The team collaborates closely with various Finance departments (Accounting, Tax, Treasury, FP&A, Procurement, Internal Audit) and adjacent technology teams (Corporate IT, Data, GTM Systems) to ensure the back-office stack is reliable, integrated, compliant, and prepared for a public, AI-forward SaaS business. Key platforms owned by the team include ERP and financial systems (e.g., NetSuite/Oracle), procure-to-pay systems (e.g., Coupa), revenue and billing systems, and associated integrations and automation. This position reports to the Senior Director, G&A Systems and will lead the team dedicated to Finance Technology Solutions across Klaviyo.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in enterprise or business systems, with meaningful ownership of Finance technology at a tech or SaaS company.
  • 4+ years in product design, responsible for order-to-cash, record-to-report, procure-to-pay, revenue/billing, and financial close systems.
  • Understanding of practical SOX ITGC experience and a clean track record working with Internal Audit and external auditors.
  • Solid understanding of enterprise-led growth and system features required to enable moving upmarket.
  • Fluency in ERP and Finance application architecture (NetSuite/Oracle, Coupa, Avalara, Zip, Zuora, or similar), integration patterns, and how Finance data flows across a modern tech stack.
  • Experience partnering with strong engineering teams with an AI build-first mentality.
  • Proven experience building or scaling AI and automation in Finance workflows (reconciliations, invoice processing, forecasting prep) and ability to discuss what worked and what didn't.
  • A reputation as a trusted partner to engineering and finance leadership; someone who translates complexity into clear decisions and earns credibility with CFOs, CAOs, Controllers, Revenue Operations, and auditors alike.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the multi-year vision and roadmap for Klaviyo’s Finance systems, aligning with the CFO’s agenda and the company’s financial plan.
  • Translate Finance, Accounting, Tax, and FP&A objectives into clear systems investments and sequencing, balancing foundational platform work with high-impact automation and analytics use cases.
  • Collaborate with application owners, cross-functional teams, business systems analysts, administrators, and integration specialists to drive functional design and deliver the roadmap.
  • Set clear expectations regarding timelines and measurable business outcomes with Finance stakeholders.
  • Lead Klaviyo's initiative to make Finance one of the most automated and insight-driven functions by identifying and delivering high-value AI use cases across the Finance workflow.
  • Partner with Klaviyo's AI and data platform teams and Finance Engineering to embed AI into core Finance processes with clear guardrails and measurable productivity gains.
  • Improve and continuously refine end-to-end Finance workflows (procure-to-pay, record-to-report, order-to-cash) ensuring tight alignment between systems and processes.
  • Ensure ERP and Finance applications are configured, integrated, and operated to support accurate and timely closes, scalable revenue and billing, and high-quality financial data.
  • Serve as the primary technology partner for the CFO, Controller, and Finance leadership team on systems, data, and process topics.
  • Translate business strategy into clear product technical decisions and trade-offs.
  • Represent Finance Technology Systems in executive forums, planning cycles, and cross-functional initiatives.
