About The Position

Mural is seeking founding Product Leads to join their engineering-led company. These individuals will be responsible for owning a pillar of the business end-to-end, driving the product roadmap, and being accountable for revenue-generating metrics. This is a hands-on role that requires constant customer interaction, prototyping, and contributing code. The Product Leads will work within dedicated pods of engineers, have significant autonomy, and play a crucial role in defining product at Mural. The ideal candidate will have experience in payments and fintech infrastructure, be an AI-native builder, customer-obsessed, and comfortable with ambiguity in a regulated environment. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of a rapidly growing fintech company.

Requirements

4 to 10 years of experience across engineering and product.
Professional software engineering experience.
Shipped production code.
Payments and fintech infrastructure domain experience.
Experience building new and novel products in fintech, especially where traditional finance meets blockchain.
AI-native builder; use agentic tools daily to prototype, analyze, and ship.
Opinionated and visionary; form a thesis about product direction and defend it.
Customer-obsessed; instinct is to talk to customers when uncertain.
Built for ambiguity; comfortable creating and owning product processes in a regulated, high-stakes domain.
Ability to prototype own ideas and create working demos.
Ability to contribute code, including to the public API.
Fluent Spanish is required for the International Rails role.

Experience from companies like Stripe, BVNK, Airwallex, Modern Treasury, Unit, Bridge, Lithic, Column, Increase, Wise, Nium, dLocal, Bitso, Circle, and Coinbase.
Experience founding fintech infrastructure companies.
Deep LatAm payments experience (for International Rails role).
Deep merchant acquiring and card payments experience (for Card Acquiring role).

Responsibilities

Own the roadmap for a pillar of the business end-to-end.
Drive product strategy and execution.
Be accountable to metrics that map directly to revenue.
Manage partner and vendor relationships for your pod.
Talk to customers constantly (weekly at minimum, often daily).
Prototype own ideas and create working demos, not just decks.
Work AI-natively, using agentic tools for prototyping, analysis, and shipping.
Contribute code to the product, including the public API.
Collaborate with Business Development (BD) and have sign-off on customer commitments.
Approve forward-deployed engineering (FDE) engagements and ensure their output generalizes into the platform.
Engage in dialogue with leadership (COO, CTO, CEO) to set direction, bringing a well-formed thesis.
Create and own product processes and product ops within a regulated domain.
