About The Position

SAP Labs, LLC seeks a Product Expert at our Palo Alto, CA location to define and drive the product vision and roadmap by understanding customer challenges and creating solutions that deliver value, differentiate from competition, and drive business growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field of study and seven (7) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternatively, a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field of study and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
  • Five (5) years of experience in Indirect Tax Engines including Vertex, Avalara, or ONESOURCE
  • Five (5) years of experience in ERP Systems including SAP ERP and SAP S/4HANA
  • Five (5) years of experience in Transactional Tax Reporting and Filing Process
  • Five (5) years of experience in SAP Integration with Tax Engines including Vertex, or Avalara
  • Five (5) years of experience in SAP FI Knowledge of Tax Posting and Reporting
  • Five (5) years of experience in SAP SD Billing and Tax Determination Logic
  • Two (2) years of experience in Certificate Management and Exemptions
  • Two (2) years of experience in Business Intelligence Tools for Tax Analytics

Responsibilities

  • Manages projects, define deliverables, and provides definitive advice and interpretation of situations.
  • Conduct in-depth discovery to understand customer problems, market trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing to communicate the product vision, its customer value, and future impact to customers, partners, and analysts.
  • Address stakeholder needs by crafting solutions that maximize customer value while achieving business goals of SAP.
  • Develop a comprehensive view of the Total Addressable Market (TAM), competitors, technological innovations, and ecosystem trends through partnership with Product Marketing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure products are optimized for growth, aligned with customer needs, uniquely differentiated, and effectively positioned for Go-To-Market success.
