Product Engineer- Product Safety & Compliance
About The Position
Productive Resources is seeking a Product Engineer to join our engineering team at our customer's facility in Fuquay-Varina, NC. This full-time, indefinite position offers the opportunity for professional growth and additional opportunities within our organization. The selected candidate will perform basic product design, testing, and/or analysis work for a defined portion of a project. They will operate in a team environment, providing input to design solutions and participating in design reviews. The role involves developing recommendations within established guidelines, with work and decisions reviewed by supervisors before implementation.
Requirements
- Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to tailor communications to audience.
- Skills in managing multiple simultaneous projects.
- Able to coordinate efforts and develop consensus recommendations.
- Able to review, understand, and explain requirements from standards and/or regulations.
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering or equivalent experience.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge and familiarity of engineering concepts related to mobile off-road machinery.
- Familiarity with regulations and standards, including but not limited to: EN, IEC, ISO, SAE, UL.
Responsibilities
- Gather data from test labs, product engineering teams, and others in support of safety and compliance activities.
- Prepare compliance documentation for commercial mowing, golf, and other products.
- Create and maintain test activity template records.
- Work with third-party companies to gather information on market entry requirements.
