The Product Engineer I is responsible for Providing technical solutions to targeted areas using applications of technical principles in resolving engineering issues from root cause to the most apparent symptoms . This position reports to the Product Engineering Senior Manager and is part of the <Product Engineering team for the Filtration Business Unit located in Fajardo, Puerto Rico and will be an on-site role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Mechanical or Electrical Preferable.
  • Cero (0) to two (2) years of related experience in an Engineering environment
  • Good oral and written communication skills (English and Spanish).
  • Experience in the management of medium projects involving multi-disciplinary components as well as process/product Validations.
  • Ability to prioritize, manage and complete projects with minimum supervision

  • Monitoring improvements to production processes to ensure sustainment and consistency across shifts, products, and manufacturing areas.

  • Participate in the development of environmental improvement projects, which imply the minimization, all possible negative environmental impacts of daily operations and activities.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in assessment of changes or variation of component materials, planning production runs for evaluation, and respective qualifications.
  • Works under direct instructions provided by the Engineering Dept in cooperation with Engineering using defined and established procedures.
  • Trains operations personnel in new and modified manufacturing, test, and service processes.
  • Assists in engineering verification and validation activities of product and processes.
  • Performs product testing and failure mode analysis of customer complaints, manufacturing failures, and engineering experimental runs.
