About The Position

The Product Engineer joins the Technology Product & Strategy team and supports the Investments organization. The role combines business analysis and partnership with hands-on solution delivery. Taking prioritized opportunities and strategic direction from the Product Manager, the Product Engineer works directly with investment professionals to understand detailed requirements and shape practical solutions. They build and iterate on solutions using the firm’s AI-enabled tools and technology platform, while partnering with Engineering to identify and enhance reusable platform capabilities that support business needs.

The initial focus is partnering across five investment strategy groups on AI-augmented research solutions, followed by work on portfolio construction analytics and modeling. This is an onsite/hybrid role, with employees expected in the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in investment management, investment research, portfolio management, or a related investment role.
• Professional experience in investment research, portfolio management, or a related function, with familiarity with investment diligence or portfolio review processes.
• Interest in applying AI and modern tooling to investment problems and willingness to learn specific tools.

Responsibilities

• Partner with investment professionals to identify business problems and translate priorities into solutions, sharing findings with the Product Manager to refine direction as understanding develops.
• Build and iterate on solutions using the firm’s AI-enabled tooling, favoring reusable platform capabilities over custom engineering.
• Recognize when a pilot requires production rigor and hand it off to Engineering.
• Identify patterns that could become reusable platform capabilities.
• Own solutions through rollout, including stakeholder coordination, training, and adoption.
