Position Description: As a Systems Integration Engineer, the successful candidate will design, implement and validate vehicle electrical systems by reviewing and approving device transmittals, developing vehicle-level logical schematics, conducting design/compatibility reviews, defining fusing and grounding strategies, supporting system-level validation/diagnostics, providing technical support for prototype and pre-production builds. You will also perform System Level tests for ECU integration by flashing ECU software and calibration files, performing configuraiton, commanding and analyzing self-test results, and performing functional tests.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (or Master's)
- Prior experience with systems engineering
- Ability to design, test and troubleshoot systems where multiple stand-alone electrical and electronic components are connected to work together
- Must know how to interpret electrical wiring diagrams and schematics
- Demonstrate the ability to understand causal effects and establish a structured approach to identify and validate potential causes for that undesirable behavior
- Design/Develop program specific electrical system schematics
- Support electrical device transmittal process: BSEM GDT Set-up, Create DT Status Report
- Develop program specific system FMEA and DVP (Validation Plans)
- Prototype Breadboards (parts list development & sign-off, validation, sign-off)
- Prototype Vehicle Builds (Yellowboard software flashing and configuration, functional sign-off, & troubleshooting)
- Lead compatibility reviews to verify all module and wiring interfaces
- Support builds at production plant
- Electrical schematics design
