Position Description: As a Systems Integration Engineer, the successful candidate will design, implement and validate vehicle electrical systems by reviewing and approving device transmittals, developing vehicle-level logical schematics, conducting design/compatibility reviews, defining fusing and grounding strategies, supporting system-level validation/diagnostics, providing technical support for prototype and pre-production builds. You will also perform System Level tests for ECU integration by flashing ECU software and calibration files, performing configuraiton, commanding and analyzing self-test results, and performing functional tests.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (or Master's)
  • Prior experience with systems engineering
  • Ability to design, test and troubleshoot systems where multiple stand-alone electrical and electronic components are connected to work together
  • Must know how to interpret electrical wiring diagrams and schematics
  • Demonstrate the ability to understand causal effects and establish a structured approach to identify and validate potential causes for that undesirable behavior
  • Design/Develop program specific electrical system schematics
  • Support electrical device transmittal process: BSEM GDT Set-up, Create DT Status Report
  • Develop program specific system FMEA and DVP (Validation Plans)
  • Prototype Breadboards (parts list development & sign-off, validation, sign-off)
  • Prototype Vehicle Builds (Yellowboard software flashing and configuration, functional sign-off, & troubleshooting)
  • Lead compatibility reviews to verify all module and wiring interfaces
  • Support builds at production plant
  • Electrical schematics design
