Requirements
- Master’s degree in Material Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Optics, Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field with 8+ years of experience; or a PhD with 5+ years’ experience; or equivalent experience.
- Exceptional analytical and experimental design skills.
- Creative thinking, problem-solving, and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Comfortable traveling up to 25% of the time.
Nice To Haves
- Prior product design and technical engineering experience is beneficial.
- Experience designing, specifying, building, operating, and maintaining semiconductor, automotive, aerospace, or related hardware, tools, and equipment.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Collaboratively engineer innovative semiconductor equipment and process design solutions to quickly resolve customer issues and improve product quality in a dynamic, fast-paced, challenging environment.
- Lead product development projects from product prototyping, development, deployment and product release, and initial field support.
- Independently design and conduct experiments, tests, and prototypes to resolve complex technical problems.
- Present analysis and support technical recommendations clearly and concisely.
- Collaborate with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams to guide the specification and development of products.
- Provide technical support for installation and/or diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and debugging complex product issues.
- Maintain a high degree of customer engagement including face-to-face and international travel to customer sites supporting near-term product releases and solving customer issues.
- Work in a cleanroom lab and/or customer semiconductor fab environment.
