About The Position

Ana Luisa is a Brooklyn-based jewelry brand focused on creating high-quality, ethically produced, and sustainable jewelry for everyone. They are seeking a Product Development Specialist to join their Sourcing team. This role is crucial for driving the development of new product ranges, particularly in solid gold and fashion jewelry. The specialist will collaborate closely with vendors to ensure products meet Ana Luisa's standards for quality, sustainability, and design, managing the process from concept to production. This is a hands-on, entrepreneurial role with significant cross-functional collaboration, including direct work with the founders. The position reports to the Director of PD and Production.

Requirements

  • 3+ years in product development, ideally with a jewelry focus — solid gold experience is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of jewelry production techniques, materials, and ethical sourcing
  • Proficiency in design and production software (PLM, OMS, EDI, Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD)
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills, with meticulous attention to detail
  • A scrappy, entrepreneurial mindset — you're resourceful, take ownership, and thrive in a fast-moving environment
  • A strong communicator and sharp critical thinker who can negotiate, problem-solve, and collaborate effectively across teams and with external partners
  • A genuine passion for sustainability and ethical fashion
  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Jewelry Design, Product Development, or a related field preferred

Responsibilities

  • Drive the development of new jewelry products from concept to production, with a focus on solid gold pieces that meet our quality and sustainability standards
  • Build and maintain strong vendor relationships, including regular visits to production sites to ensure ethical practices and quality control
  • Partner with the design team to bring creative visions to life — weighing in on production feasibility, cost, and sustainability
  • Own product timelines, keeping development milestones and launch dates on track
  • Conduct market research to stay ahead of trends and consumer preferences in the sustainable jewelry space
  • Work closely with the supply chain team to optimize production for efficiency and sustainability
