About The Position

The MECC R&D Component Development Program Manager is responsible for achieving successful execution of product development initiatives in support of MECC’s customers and the CRM R&D strategy. The Program Manager serves as a cross-functional team lead with responsibility for defining, developing and delivering new production capabilities for our customers. The Program Manager is accountable to the CRM Energy Solutions Project Review Committee (PRC) for overall program execution, with the responsibility for ensuring team commitments (scope, schedule and budget per project contract) are met and communicated in a timely manner. As a member of the PMO the program manager enables the site strategy through the identification, estimation, and securing of project funding in support of the CRM Mission, and continuously improves the business processes used by the PMO and the functional organizations they interact with to achieve efficient project execution to deliver the products with world class quality and reliability. The Product Development Program Manager is responsible for overseeing and implementing research and development initiatives related to medical device components within the product development process. These programs encompass all stages of the product lifecycle, including new product development, product change management, and CAPA activities. The role requires collaboration across multiple functions—design, manufacturing operations, advanced manufacturing engineering, reliability, quality, and regulatory—to acquire comprehensive knowledge and utilize it to create integrated project schedules. The Program Manager is expected to execute projects within defined timelines and budgets while ensuring all deliverables are met. Candidates must possess strong presentation skills to engage upper-level management and demonstrate effective leadership, fostering high-performance teams through influence. We are working onsite a minimum of 4 days per week as part of our commitment to fostering a culture of professional growth and cross-functional collaboration as we work together to engineer the extraordinary. This role will require less than 10% of travel to enhance collaboration and ensure successful completion of projects.

Requirements

  • Baccalaureate degree AND minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, OR advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
  • Candidates must possess strong presentation skills to engage upper-level management and demonstrate effective leadership, fostering high-performance teams through influence.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Program Execution: Use broad cross-functional knowledge and comprehensive management skills to provide direction and leadership to a cross-functional program development team. Make commitments to meet specific business goals and objectives and fulfill business deliverables defined by the Product Development Process (PDP). Provide critical leadership to ensure the overall quality of multiple related projects, while actively minimizing and mitigating project risks. Develop and maintain a detailed project schedule that aligns with PDP Phase expectations. Monitor and track progress toward established objectives, assess risks, manage project schedules and budgets, and implement strategies to ensure the program is delivered successfully, on time, and within budget. Ensure alignment among all stakeholders, including Operations, Development, Technology, Supply Management, Quality, and Reliability. Ensure timely and thorough communication across various levels of the organization, including the Program Team, Customers, Stakeholders, and Senior Management. Plan, monitor, and control project budgets, covering human resources, component builds, supplier materials, supplier NRE, internal capital, external capital, and general expenses to achieve established return on investments.
  • Continuous Improvement of the R&D Project Execution Capabilities: Establish best practices for developing, implementing, and maintaining program management processes. Direct initiatives to identify, prioritize, define, and implement improvements to product development processes and functional work packet standards, striving for best-in-class status. Drive acceptance of project management processes and a common language among program teams, ensuring disciplined capacity planning, project complexity and transparency, and risk exposure across a matrixed organization. Coach team members to foster effective team dynamics and mutual accountability in support of the MECC Mission. Coach team members on best practice project management skills to ensure adherence to processes and effective project management.
  • Enable CRM Energy Components Strategy: Work with management team and stakeholders to initiate, plan, execute, monitor and control, close, and reprioritize projects. Initiate and pitch project opportunities to internal and external business leaders within CRM. Provide feedback to functional department heads during the AOP/strategic planning process.
