About The Position

The Product Development Intern works closely with the Product Development Manager and other members of technical services and operations team to research and manage specifically assigned projects. The Product Development Intern is assigned a few projects and is responsible for executing on the assigned projects. The Product Development Intern is assigned a mentor to provide guidance and support. The Product Development Intern is responsible for reporting to the mentor on the progress of work completed throughout the term of the internship with a final report to be presented to the entire Product Development team at the end of the internship. As an Product Development Intern, you will work alongside the Product Development Manager and other members of technical services and operations team to research and manage specifically assigned projects and gain firsthand experience in a world-class dairy manufacturing environment.

Requirements

Currently pursuing an Associate's, Bachelor's, or Master's degree in Food Science, Dairy Science, Chemistry, Biology, Agricultural Science, or a related field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Interest in research and development, product innovation, and food manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Support product development projects from benchtop testing through plant trials.
Assist in planning, executing, and analyzing experiments to support innovation and product improvements.
Develop, test, and evaluate dairy products to ensure they meet project objectives and performance requirements.
Document research findings and communicate results with cross-functional teams, including Production, Quality, and Plant Leadership.
Collaborate with Product Development professionals to understand product development processes, challenges, and best practices.
Gain exposure to dairy industry trends, regulations, and product innovation initiatives.
Present project outcomes, recommendations, and key learnings at the conclusion of the internship.
