About The Position

This internship focuses on product formulation, testing, and project management within a product development team. The intern will participate in ideation, support the development and improvement of products, produce formula batches, and conduct analytical and sensory testing. Responsibilities also include data analysis, adherence to project timelines, and providing technical support through research and documentation.

Requirements

Actively seeking a Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field(s)
Experienced working within a lab
Computer knowledge required; MS Office
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

Participate in product ideation and scoping
Support development of new products as well as improve existing items across all product segments
Produce batches of formulas for development purposes as well as product prototypes and samples
Perform analytical testing of prototypes
Design and conduct sensory panels
Perform product testing across full range of product attributes (pH, viscosity, brix, color scoring, etc.)
Organize and report data collected
Analyze data from testing to provide insight on product prototypes
Develop and adhere to project timelines
Organize project plans and provide status updates to team
Participate in cross-functional project teams to drive projects to successful completion
Perform research as needed to support projects for product development team
Participate in conducting sensory panels
Assist in creation of technical documentation and product specifications
Perform daily calibration and general maintenance of all laboratory and analytical equipment
Assist with laboratory upkeep regarding lab cleanliness and organization
