About The Position

Bass Pro Shops Internship Program offers a 10-week immersive work program giving students a holistic overview of the business focusing on career and competency development while gaining valuable experience with a multifaceted company. Located at Bass Pro Shops headquarters in Springfield, MO, interns will work alongside talented individuals, assist with projects, research, and gain work experience that directly impacts the business. Interns will have professional development and networking opportunities with leadership, and participate in team trips to learn about various areas of the business, including retail stores, lodges, and manufacturing plants, to gain an immersive experience about the company's passion for the outdoors and conservation.

Requirements

Completion of Junior year of college through graduating year.
Minimum GPA: 3.0
Available for full commitment of 10-week program (40 hours/week)
Currently enrolled in accredited college or university in pursuit of bachelor’s degree in related field
Eligible to work in the US
Ability to relocate to work location for the duration of the program

Responsibilities

Assists in the development of Proprietary Product, identifying market trends, and developing product and price structures.
Assists Merchant and Product Development team with product specifications, sourcing, forecasting, and marketing strategy.
Assists the merchant in the preparation of financial plans and business strategy.
Obtains vendor samples for new products.
Logs and tracks all designs that the Merchandiser must approve and all TX’s that the Merchandiser or Catalog Assistant must approve.
